Our ultimate goal is to help improve the support and services provided to communities around the world

OASYS is a worldwide team of partner consultants established by founding directors Ousmane Amadou Sy and Andrew Kean. As part of our commitment to continually seek to improve the services we provide to our clients we are always keen to explore new ideas and initiatives which will help us to provide better technical support services to civil society stakeholders and organisations who are implementing programmes in the field.

OASYS Financial & Management ServicesAndrew Kean, Co-Director

I am a chartered accountant with over 20 years' wide-ranging financial and general management experience in the commercial, public and voluntary sectors. My previous roles include those of finance director in industry, senior auditor in local government, and treasurer and trustee of various local charities, as well as finance manager for larger national and international voluntary organisations.

As treasurer and director of various charities over the last ten years I have gained a clear understanding of the financial and managerial needs of the voluntary sector. I am now keen to use my skills and experience to help voluntary and community-based organisations around the world to make the best use of their resources in delivering services to their end-users.

I graduated in Finance and Accounting from the Higher Institute of Management at Dakar University in 1998 and have worked since then in the civil society sector. I was Finance and Administration Coordinator of Alliance Nationale Contre le Sida (ANCS) for more than 7 years and played an instrumental role in helping ANCS to become the largest HIV/AIDS organisation in Senegal. In January 2006 I joined the International HIV/AIDS Alliance headquarters in the UK, where I worked as Senior Finance Officer until June 2009.

I have more than 10 years' extensive experience of providing financial and organisational technical support to civil society organisations across Africa and have supported many USAID and Global Fund programmes throughout the continent. I have also worked on external assignments with the UNAIDS Technical Support Facility in East Africa. As a founding and existing board member of many community organisations in both Senegal and the UK I am a passionate advocate for communities and local development.
